Mixing Programs..?

ya vrtual dj ,tracktor then abelton...although i hate software djs ur not a dj unless u know how to operate a turntable or a cdj...but im guessing u wanna mix for funso thats cool

yeah. listen to zahran. and you won't regret. he's the most powerfull dj on the world
operating both on turntable and cdj with one hand. and with the other hand picking the cd's from the case.
hear the music, feel the music. then you can think about mixing.
good luck.

wtf whats wrong with u man i said its my opinion i didnt say i was good or anything but its true ur not a dj unless u know how to use real wquipment ...name one dj who cant play on equipment its ok to mix on software if ur lazy or something but u have to know how to use equipment .....thats a fact there is no software mixing in clubs ....dont get on my case because im saying something thats true ...

Well, i think mixing on a software is a great thing... i dont have to mix on an equipment to be a DJ... thats not true... softwares does the job too u knw...
Plus mixing on a software is much better than nothing at all.
Hear the music, Feel the music. then you can think about mixing ( nice 1 lover4o)

i think i go wid zahran..i think using equipment is more professional, but ya then again like Clumbsy said..they both do the job. But if they both do exactly the same job, wouldnt every1 start using softwares, since u can download it, for free..?
(ie. more economical)

Fightin for Peace, is like Screwin for Virginity

well .. i wasnt going to talk about this ... mixing can be done by software as well as by hands on turntables and this stuff but I say, in just a few years there will be no mixing on turntables or cdj and ALL djs will use mixing softwares ... iMac and MacBookPro are very popular in this field because of Apple is known by its high ability in processing audio and video as well ... and for anyone who says that software mixing is much easier than turntables mixing, i say to him just take a look at LogicPro or Traktor for Mac and you will know it's very hard to control these softwares and come up with any mix ....... it's not a must to be able to mix on turntables to be called a DJ !! .. A DJ is a person who produce a set of mixed tracks whatever the way he used, the only thing matters is his product ... it's only about music

well if software mixing is harder why are ppl using it ....ppl want easier not harder so dont try to tell me that software mixing is harder than equipment ,,hehe at least theres an option of using a beatlock in real equipment there isnt that option so software is easier and what ur saying is totally wrong ....djing is like painting it ur not an artist unless u use ur hands ur more creative that way ....and btw there is nothing hard about tracktor ...take a look at abelton
...and again im talking about lazy ppl who suck at using equipment so they use software

i've absolutely no experience about mixing, but i think it's just like the case of ebooks.
i like much more reading paper books (especially references, guides) than ebooks. paper books are much more friendly (that's why i print sometimes ebooks too), i can run through them in seconds. in ebooks it's much more difficult to use search / scroll through the whole book. sometimes things are better when you do it by hand, and not by clicking, draggin'&droppin', etc...

btw, James Zabiela uses Ableton too... Felipe uses an imac...

all im saying is that ppl who cant use equipment and only use software are lame ...ppl who know how to use equipment and ppl who are playing on software temporrily until they get thier own gear are ok i like software djing i just dont liek it when its a primary skill hell armin mixes ASOT every week on abelton

i have only tried fruity loops and didnt like it much
which one is the best for you, the most professional
which one is the best for you, the most professional

i like abelton but its hard because any tracks that have warp markers cant be mixed with the program and most files are in vbr so its a common issue ...unless u buy ur music
