Does "mega-pack is a collection of several mp3s or 1 mp3 of size 1GB or larger" mean that if I make a collection of several (four for Global Domination show on XM81) m4as or 1 m4a of size 1GB or larger they are not a mega-pack?
Beside, I can get more than 1 GB of 8 hours Global Domination show with an neroAACenc's VBR quality factor of 0.85 ~around 300 kbps or mp3's @320 kbps.
So, what is better: VBR m4a @300 kbps or CBR mp3 @320?

well, it's just more like this: if your torrent is getting quite near 1GB (say, over 900MB), it will be pronounced undead; mega-pack would rather mean a vast/huge collection of files all somewhat different, but still related in some meaning.. i would rather not see higher bpm's, but 1-2 more rips of some other shows/channels to make it a true mega-pack meaning, and an honest gig of music.
BPM (XM81) has two long lasting shows:
1) Global Domination - 10 hours - with Tiesto, Matt Darey, Robbie Rivera, Benny Benassi, and Carl Cox
2) Air 81 - 9 hours - with 9 different DJs: Johnny Budz, Nathan Scott, Cato K, Scotty Boy, Joe Bermudez, Mark D., Brian Howe, Marcus McBride, and Lil'Cee.
The super stars of Global Domination along with their guest music cover almost all dance music: house, trance, and variances: techno, techno minimal, techno house, progressive house - "all somewhat different, but still related".
As to Air 81, I am going to upload it on Saturday, with 9 DJs one cannot expect something else than all somewhat different, but still related".
To me the show itself unites the music - related in some meaning - not the genere. The only available name to identify the music is mega-pack.
As to the size, I would say:
1) I think my files contain music of very good quality and I have no doubt to use high bit rate to encode it,
2) A GB or more, according to the rule, makes the show affordable for any one to download it.
This give me the idea to collect the Eropean Union show on XM82 (The System) and to upload it once a month as mega-pack. It would be 8 hours and the participating DJs are:
-Menno DeJong with Radio Intuition from the Netherlands,
-Miika Kuisma with Subtraxx Experience from Finland,
-Elusive with Oslo Nights from Norway,
-Martin Roth with Shockwave Sessions from Germany.
The same could be with the show Afterglow Sessions - 8 hours montly - on XM82 with:
Haris C, Duende, Duderstadt, StoreNforward from Germany.
Is the idea good or better upload 2 hours music weekly?

weekly sounds better, it will be more fresh and will collect more downloads

yes, that's true, weekly is better in means of snatches and excitement.
OK, weekly.
Then in a month maybe I'll try a free ratio mega-pack to see what will happen.

think we need a new rule. its hard to find a certain megapack anymore. its one thing let say "steve lawler megapack" or "loveparade 2008" but all these xm packs with 4 files need a new category. i mean we let them ratio free but in diferent way.

From where can I get this mega pack?
Are there any assorted mega-packs?
Like, the best of a genre and not just from an artist or a gathering.. Might be a stupid question..

We're all trying to understand the same things, looking from different angles.
