Utorrent is probably the best out there - very easy to use can handle multilpe torrents at the same time runs under c++ and not java - very low resources used and all the features you need.
You can compare them

ok, this is ddecided than: i'm moving to uTorrent. gonna test it out for a few days. so far working nice, 5 torrents (with hernan's 6g one) and only 11mb ram's taken.
i'm also going to test out the torrent flux php pages to set up a client on the website. maybe later faster speeds will be there if everything works out... i'm thinking about ftp-upload/website-seeding mechanism...

I'm going to switch to uTorrent to one of these days since my ram is really overflowed letly, hope this will again increase the speed of my pc;

it won't increase the speed, but it will definitely free up lots of resources for you. this client is too AWESOME. if i could, i would tell everyone to have it. too hot. even bandwidth allocation per torrent. sweet stuff.
I recently switched from bittcomet to azureus and am pretty happy. It has not slowed down my comp to much. I hope you are not going to ban the new version of azureus

it didn't slow down because they both clients are very consumptious... :)
anyways, version 2.6.0.0. can be fully configured, so new versions of azureus users will not suffer.

but still utorrent is unfinished yet in regards to queue managing and scraping. it does both but in some weird way, stopping torrents with most leechers, new ones, etc. i don't know.. this is not so good since i want my uploads to mean something in a way of 'upload speed', and with 3-4 leechers it should probably be 30kbps, but only if i specially rightclick the torret and tell utorrent it's high bandwidth allocation. these things compromise and equallite each other. so basically demenishing obstacle... so my call is still to switch to utorrent
I switched to utorrent but it totally screwed up my Vonage service. No one could hear me clearly so I'm back to Azureus. The good thing about utorrent was that I maxed out my download speed a couple of times on this and other sites, that doesn't happen very often with Azureus.
Is uTorrent still the best client out there
I'm still using utorrent and it's handling about 400 torrents with no single bug Excellent software

hehe... 2655 torrents are in my utorrent. 779 of them seeding, all the rest are on an hdd that's offline now..
Vuze - the current version is 4.1.0.4
uTorrent - the current version 1.8.3 beta
Personally, I use uTorrent most of the time.

does Utorrent run well with wine?
I've just installed vuze/Azureus. 3.1.1.0

to answer my own question UTorrent works flawlessly using wine & takes up less resources than Vuze. The only thing you have to do is manually port forward the UTorrent as the auto port forwarding feature doesn't work under wine .
100% connectible with good download speeds

just wanted to know what kind of client are you using and why do you like it? what client do you think is the best for torrents, what new client is good, what old one is bad/buggy?
i'm using azureus since it's good managing multiple torrents. but it is very buggy. and i want to switch to another one, that will allow up to 300 torrents running at the same time and will not bug my system too much.
what linux clients are great? anyone knows a suitable command-line-moved client?
ps. probably some of the old and buggy clients with holes will be banned soon. that's why all this talk about it.
