BEST IN ... IDC 2008 polls Info, Ideas and Suggestions

ok, to be short and not to bother you much with long... ghm.. ok.. very well, the idea is very simple:

starting Feb 22nd, when all judging grades will be revealed, main page poll will be given to several 1-2 day long polls, constantly switching, and representing such awards by downloaders, as "Best DJ to play House music in IDC 2008", or "Best Track-list", etc...

only those who've downloaded at least 1 IDC torrent will be able to participate in these polls, so please try to download some... =)

as of right now, i'm gonna post the list of the Best-In ideas that i'm thinking, and everyone who feels like throwing in some ideas, interesting polls to make, - feel free and welcome and go ahead!!!

these will be regular polls, you will be able to select one dj out of so many possible listed, and vote for that DJ, casting only 1 vote, DJ with max votes will be granted some certain 'Best-In' title. we can go on for as many as 10-20 nominations and elections like this.

'Best-In' poll-nominations of IDC 2008...

1. Best Over-all DJ performance
2. Best House Performance
3. Best Tribal set
4. Best Progressive set
5. Best Track-List (selection and arrangement)
6. Best Mixer Skill (transactions,beat-matching,etc )
7. Best Rookie performance
8. ghm.. any ideas?

11. funniest t-shirt logos contest

i understand it's a joke about last two - 10. and 11., right? =)
9. will be shown in 1, so as poll will be showing a ladder, not '1st place only', right?
8. will be decided by judges or by selected 2-3 of them.
7. best trance instead of rookie? =) best trance set can be 8. i wasn't sure how many trance sets there were.. but 'best trance' or 'best electro' or 'best minimal' can be arranged, if there are not many of the other nominations made up...
6. who cares? it's the meaning we seek... =)

yeah, this one is really thin and kinda hard to say, i mean, not to offend anyone, like "you're rookie, you're in this poll here", so we're just gonna give list of all djs to choose from in this mini-poll, so as for everyone to decide themselves who is rookie, and who's not... will be fun.. =)

i think that would be rather offensive to ppl so no need for that lets just focus on the positive aspects of the competition :)

yeah... and well, dunno, do we want these idc polls to last a lifetime? or 2-3 weeks and gone? well, yeah, we don't have a good time poll material, as some one mentioned somewhere, so this could be a way out - to stretch idc polls.. who knows.. maybe make another poll to find out? :lol:

ok ok i get the point, "best electro set" will be included, same as "best trance", and maybe "best minimal", if desired.

any ideas on something really entertaining in this area? something maybe funny or whatever else is e all about... maybe "BEST SET TO DANCE TO in IDC 2008" ?
