fight club is a good one. what did i like in last months... or decade, if you go as far as fight club... i'll just write about what i've seen recently, won't be digging that far....
i like fast cars and chasing... thus Fast Five (2011) is my first pick. i know, i know.. stupid.. "the rock" is there... well. who cares.. i like fast cars, street racing and chasing, and all those big titty girls that are begging to be fucked on the hoods of those amazing cars.. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1596343/
Old school (2003) was quite a nice one - it has the sweet couple of Vince Vaughn & Will Ferrel... and a few others... but i love the first two.. they have chemistry... if we go there... https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0302886/
how about The Other Guys (2010) with Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg? anyone seen? i just love how Will Ferrel does all that stupid shit that he does... https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1386588/
and Step Brothers (2008) with John C. Reiley - another guy who can do stupid shit without a flinch.. also loved it!! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0838283/
another awesome movie was Ninja Assassin (2009) - don't blame me, i just LOVE me some kung-fu ninja action, and this one was quite bloody and pretty realistic.. very nice shit!! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1186367/
The Dark Knight (2008) was epic.. not cause of being filmed in chicago, i could care less.. but the actor play... OMG. so sad that Heath Ledger passed away... he was an AMAZING villain. super awesome. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/
this i went through some of my downloads of past year or two... i will post a few more later, don't wanna spoil them all too fast..

My favourite movies are The Matrix films, they were a cinamatic visual spectacular,no need for me to explain any more cus I'm sure everyone as seen them.
I also quite liked Inception that was good.

the matrix was my 2nd choice. what an epic year for movies 99 was. i didnt like it because of the visuals but i was impressed of the message it has brought - i mean i've always thought we are living 'in' something like that

for me I'll go old and boring...like alot of the new ones (The fight club is very good as well)... For me though its Kellys Heroes...
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065938/ (used to watch every sunday morning for about 3 years when I had finished my paper round when I was 12 or 13.. ironically no one will watch with me as I know the script off by heart!!
The 39 steps...an other classic for me anyway with robert Powell
The italian Job (original) with Michael Caine
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064505/
More recently I love Lock Stock & Two smoking Barrels and Snatch..
A special mention goes to Die Hard 1 & 2 as well

In no particular order, off the top of my head, I adore the following: -
Taxi Driver
Alien
Blade Runner
Platoon
Full Metal Jacket
Two are about the vietnam war and two are set in space. Taxi driver is related to the Vietnam War of course - although it's set in New York.
I wouldn't actually say I am a massive fan of war films or science fiction films above anything else that's out there.
It's just that these films are all iconic to me and have left a huge impression that isn't easily described in words. They are of such high quality in every aspect - I never tire of watching them.
Taxi Driver - I am a massive De Niro fan and his performance in this film is immense. I can never quite work out where he is going next with the character, except into total chaos! It's raw, gritty and fascinating. De Niro's commentary throughout seems to justify his seemingly more insane actions while making the viewer take note of his increasing madness/sickness.
Scott's Alien and Blade Runner are for me, the ultimate futuristic sci fi romps.
Scott is possibly my favourite director along with Scorsese and Kubrick - who direct the other films listed.
As films go, they are both technically superb. The atmosphere created is immersive and 'real'.
Although for me, the Director's Cut of Blade Runner is the only one to watch. Both paint a picture of a future world that is grim and oppresive, but also while very immaginative, very plausible.
Platoon and Full Metal Jacket are two films I've always loved since I was a child.
I'm not a big fan of war movies, but the direction and characterisation in both these films is of such high quality and they are so polished in every aspect that I will never forget them. I can watch either of them time and time again without ever geting bored. Platoon has an amasing soundtrack too.
- Platoon is one of the few films Charlie Sheen did before he went off the rails!

12 angry men was brilliant, almost the whole movie is shot in the jury room.
