Electric Daisy Carnival, LV (June 19-21)

This is my first stream URL post so please be gentle :P

I'll be attending this event, but I would absolutely appreciate someone here capturing the full EDC stream powered by 7-up. Last year's videos were absolutely incredible and how I found this site. The community and the people here rock.

ENJOY THE SHOW!

The EDC Las Vegas 2015 live stream will bring you coverage from all eight stages which will be offering music to the fans on the ground and those sitting in the comfort of their own homes as Yahoo Live streams the event all across the world for the dedicated fans. Coming on June 19th and finishing on June 21st, you will be able to watch many of the world’s biggest DJs perform exclusive sets and drop many tracks which will be on offer in the coming months and see how EDC Las Vegas has become one of the biggest festivals on the scene, suppose you only have to look at the amended line up for that.

what i don't like in all of this is that i still don't understand: will there be more than 1 live stream or not? streaming from all 8 stages, blah-blah, this may end up being freaking tomorrowland broadcast all over again... they did 6 streams last year. i want to know if there'll be more than 1 stream this year. i don't think yahoo does that, do they?

For me the festival format like this is no more than a cash cow for the hedge funds that support these  type of events.. stack em high, cram as many in as you can get in, with the same sub standard dj's everytime (with the exception of a few)

EDC and more Ultra moreso are classic at doing this now having events every single month...the cheapo, tacky, plastic Wal mart of the music world festival

with the exception of probably movement in detroit and burning man its a season of flaky sub standard music in the US...doesn't look much and I don't think Slash its worth your valuable time!

munkyn: I probably hate the music too and wouldn't attend the festival physically, but I love to collect good videostreams of electronic festivals. So I'm looking forward to this stream, even if I'm an underground music lover.

I dislike this sort of music irrespective of collecting them, however kudos for everyone who takes the time to rips these, I love electronic music but for me this is not music...its a pop concert for kids who think its electronic music
slash ProDanceCulture on June 12th, 2015 / post 67591
yeah... +1 on umpfta's reasoning. i am not excited for music, 80% of it will be waste of time, but some dubstep/trap/dnb acts should be interesting, i don't lie - i like that kind of music sometimes..

as for collecting... i just muved 2TB of festival videos from my 4tb raid set to an outside wd storage one, i.e. - i collected over 2TB of vids in less than 1 year... good stuff.. i love it! =)

plus i like to see some occasional extra skin on top of 100% skin all of the time, and young shaking asses and you know... good times... plus, Paul, video feeds are the only source for the audio from most events, and as you know, i have those satellite sites, that keep all the edm loving kids away from tribalmixes and on there... =)

Personally, I've been into electronic music since the early 90's and partied mid 90's with moontribe (monthly) to massives on occasion and I don't see anything wrong with different styles. I respect it all and people's tastes. The music at EDC can very from awesome to crap, with 300+ artists you'll get a lot of variety. What really get's me for this event in person is the absolutely sick production value for stages/art/parades/fireworks/things to do and see... it's like disneyland for adults with a seemingly impossible positive vibe from the people there. It makes for an entertaining live stream  Check it out!

Moocowdan, thank you for tidying up my post :D

Slash: If it's like last year, there were several streams and all the sets were full. Even Infected Mushroom's 3hr set. Tomorrowland's stream this year really pissed me off too. Getting 10 minutes of a set followed by crappy promotions blows. You can download last year's EDC videos here, they're definitely worth checking out.

Fair point slash, for me thers only two or three festivals in the US that are any good,  this is a throw away music festival which is what Ultra's  business model is..just for the young uneducated lapping it up... aside the usual mover and shakers (Digweed, Liebing, Sasha, Pan-Pot & co) who you can see anywhere they will be concentrated in a one or two arenas with all the usual crap on the main stage throughout...

I don't ever feel the urge to waste 2Tb of disk space  on push button chart DJs mate, definately  the big names, but we all know  will be hit or miss if get all the better coverage...  for me its all (Prog, Techno & tech house) or nothing  and this doesn't come close!!

it's not just recording stuff. it's always something new, it's finding ways to trick those who don't want you to record this stuff, it's interesting and mind bending sometimes.. it's also exciting to know you're recording 3 rooms and 2 other streams, you know what i mean? it's kinda trasure, it's live video that is only on for a little bit, and then only you and select few have it.. i get off on many factors, to be honest... =)

Very true...however I would be more choosy on what to rip...once I have swapped over my i7 Nuc with my T1000 server I will look at ripping some streams!!

pff thats many many DJs, that probably means short sets ala Tomorrowland :(
slash ProDanceCulture on June 16th, 2015 / post 67633
well, at this point it may still be ok, kinda... 40 names for 27 hours, making it maybe half hour per set, but i am sure some shit will go wrong.. wtf they all run to yahoo and twitch and shit? i doubt they get 200k viewers on yahoo... or ultra did on twitch... damn... does yahoo pay them to have their 'partnership'.
