Great pictures willy84, I've met some Egyptians in my life and they have all been cool people. Also, our "shah"(king before revolution) is buried in Egypt as well. For nice pictures try the site that I used, www.trekearth.com and then just type in Egypt. I'm gonna go backpacking across Asia next year and hopefully I can come down to Africa and visit Egypt as well if I can afford it.
Stunning pictures everyone
Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated in Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. It falls on December 26th, which is also St. Stephen's Day.
St. Stephen was a little known saint who achieved eternal fame by being the first Christian to be martyred for his faith, and he met his death by stoning.
Boxing Day is so called because on this day it was the customary for tradesmen to collect their Christmas boxes or gifts in return for good service throughout the year. Also, it included giving money and other gifts to charitable institutions, and the needy.
The holiday may date from as early as the Middle Ages, but the exact origin is not known. It may have begun with the Lords and Ladies of England, who gave Christmas boxes/gifts to their servants on December 26, or maybe by priests, who opened the church's alms (charity boxes), and distributed the contents to the poor and needy.
People are routinely confused by England's relationship to Great Britain. It is important to note that England, Scotland and Wales are all countries in their own right, and, combined constitute the island nation of Great Britain. Northern Ireland and Great Britain combined are known as the United Kingdom (UK) and if you combine the Republic of Ireland with the UK you have the British Isles. The modern history of Britain is considered to have started around the mid 1400's. By that time Wales had been conquered by England, and Scotland had become part of Great Britain when the King of Scots succeeded to the English throne. Suffice it to say, however, that each country has a rich, elaborate history unto itself.

I think your idea and my idea is different about rednecks..
Well america has everyone in it. But you cant be sensitive about what ppl say if your a foreigner. Cause depending on where you do in the usa. People can be rude or very nice. Obviously we speak English. I wish we spoke different languages like in elementary school. But we dont. What i mean is users like enen tell me that he has learned 3 languages so far. Most states have all four seasons. Im not sure what else to say.

But if one must, I was born in the US the son of an Egyptian Diplomat to the United Nations. And I wouldn't wanna have it any other way, mutually my country of origin and country of birth are endowed with innumerable landmarks, fauna, vistas, and diversity that it would take many a days to innumerate.....Ya I luv them both except one is older than the other lol

Well this is a real cool thread, so i just wanna put in a little sometin about Egypt.
1- First of all as for the whole EDM scene, it has seen humongous growth in the last year, especially for house music which has become a very popular genre between listeners here in Egypt.
2-As for clubbing weve had some huge names over here...Sander, Cattaneo, Simon and Shaker, Tiesto, Armin, Oakie, Steve...the works, but sorry to say that these events dnt happen very often. We do have lots of clubs and clubbing can be a weekly thing but most djs are local talents. Although probably 2007 is gonna have a lot more events than this year had, with alot bigger names.
3- As for drugs well, i think Egypt is one of the cheepest places to get hash, like u can get 9 gm of high quality shit for 15-20$, we have all kinds of other drugs, but yay,E and drugs of this category can get pretty expensive. Police here arent that strict towards the usage of drugs, like for example walking in a street with a joint isnt something u would have to worry about.
4-Were divided into lots of states (dnt remember the number )...but we have 2 major ones. Cairo which is something like NYC the big city life, with the noise, overcrowdness, but at the same time has a wicked nightlife and great for clubbing. The second is Alexandria which is kinda between the small town and big city life, more peacfull, easier to move around in, and at the same time has an ok clubbing scene.
5-For education we have lots of government universities and also private ones...so no matter how poor u are here, if youre smart enough u can probably get into whatever college u want. But the problem is that we have so many doctors, engineers, lawyers,..etc, that these occupations have lost their value orhave become underappreciated. What i mean is u can be a doctor or lawyer or whatever and still cant find a job and if u do u may get a salary that cannot even support u on your own.
