regarding the teams and whether or not they should be internationally mixed or only from one country, i think that yea they should both be an option. however i dont really agree with the suggestion that bonus points be awarded in either case (international or national). the more it is about the music the better i think  :-D  :-D

now about the judging, is it going to be like last year's competition? u know with the official jusges, official listeners and so on..? because i thought that was a great idea and i think it worked out pretty well..

true, true, let's forget about bonuses for inter-/national teams, idc is international because we get quite a few countries to participate, been 12 in 2007, then 7 in 2008. dropping the country rule will allow many more djs from all different countries to participate. to tell you the truth, it's pretty much been this thing of idc - teams per countries, 50% of the interest to the competition was drawn by this very simple attractive rule, saying that there could be your country's team in there, given even in 2008 with 7 countries (13 teams) it pretty much covered half the community (about 9k people), so alot of interest comes from there. now i hope idc is known to some people and djs, and they will listen just because it's idc, not pursuing their countrymen-support-things... but i'm still gonna put a flag next to each dj name for their country needs to show, just again for these simple and cunning purposes.

judging process will be the same, only modified to remove all names and stuff, but show track-lists instead. now, lots of official people (listeners, judges, supporters) have failed their 'task' of rating some several teams or mixes completely back in idc08. those users, to my deepest regret, will not be allowed to apply this time. who once have failed is likely to fail again, right? only those who were downgraded into lower 'idc' class will be considered for similar or lower roles, since they did do something in idc08 judging, although it wasn't enough for their pledge/status..

thanks, gwende, for the pic. everyone, start spreading the word of idc!!

I hope this doesn't sound cheezy. but if a pic had a bit more info like the site name and maybe what idc is. it could be put in a bulletin on myspace to get some more users and ppl to possibly participate.

or maybe a large flyer with all the info.

What about having mid level or low level judges how commit to judging a small number (3-15) of random sets still blind?
ykafafi lets bump! on October 8th, 2008 / post 27241

that was the case (at least last IDC) for "official listeners". they didnt have to judge all sets, just a percentage.. of course the more the better but there was a minimum of sets to be rated..
