Rating Sets, page 1

i have noticed that many sets are rated (usually 5 out of 5) before the whole set has been downloaded and even listened to by the downloader... this totally defeats the purpose of having a rating system in the first place, it also provides other users with false information about the set, i.e whether it is any good or not... my suggestion is to prevent users rating sets until the whole file has been downloaded by that user... i cant understand why people do this...

anybody have any thoughts on this...

right i've already noticed my mistake...

on a new note, i feel we need a delete button for people who start topics not knowing what they are talking about... case and point, ME!!!

I guess only uploaders and higher can rate sets before being snatched

Try to be more produtive to tribalmixes... dont make a war when she never exist!

accurate rating of sets IS more productive to tribalmixes... its allows people to be more selective of their downloads and generally increases the quality of the music on the site...

Well i feel that if a user is permitted to rate before snatching. Then he or she must know what he is doing or that user wouldn't be allowed to rate it. Usually they already have an opinion of the artist, maybe they'll look at the bitrate or the event maybe. And try to promote that torrent.

and some times u can find a set without rating and 23 or more seeders and this set is there for more thaan 2 days so ppl have to rate they have to rate it honestly to make the quality of the muzik is better
and i think  u can't rate a set b4 downloading even u r a vip or anything (exept slash) i think because he listens to sets b4 users but  i also think it's not prefferd to rate a set without listening it.

and also i agree about the delete button in here  

i agree with that bigtime...some of the sets are over rated too

I think we should remove the rating because:

 1. Some of the people rates the mixes just for the sake of rating...
 2. Some of the people rates the mixes by friendship...
 3. If a download is awesome the uploader specifies it in the description because this it is made for and we can tell looking at the seeders and leechers numbers... So rating is useless!!
