all right, my friend bidona, let's just go ahead and feel good about non-armin-djs... =)
noone else does, i see..
who really dragged my attention in 2006 are Carlos Fauvrelle, Cetric, Carl Craig, Martin Garcia (Proggy genius) , Simon & Shaker, Rado (insane Tribal beats =)), Jaimy (very modern Tribal), Chris Cargo, Da Cat (I really call his music Deep Tribal) and the always admired DJ Migas, Keekos, Calderone (his kiss100 show in April 2006 was a BOMB), Luca Ricci and John Creamer
and about Armin, he's a creative producer and great DJ .. but he can't be by any means the best DJ in 2006 !!

We Will Def Do Our Best Always
and Nick 2007 will be Wicked !!!!
Yes i think that armin........
1) Rowan Blades has really impressed me this year, played a residency at a club in Sydney. One night he was playing in the main room and was playing some really uplifting progressive stuff. Then another night in another room he was playing dark deep progressive which just blew me away....
2) I have a soft spot for Sasha, i was hoping that he would release a set at WMC that would be similar to last years set but it never came. BUT after hearing that essential mix, just blew me away how frieken good it was, awesome awesome stuff
3) 16 Bit Lolita's i heard play this year and there recorded set of the year would have to be that Bahnhoff Hungary set which wasn't supposed to be recorded, but i just love it. Love 16 Bit sound, awesome production and even though they may push a slighty more mainstream sound, the music is quality none the less
4) Satoshi Tomiie, some of the recorded sets that appeared from him around March-May + seeing him live for the first time was great. Love that minimal sound that he has been pushing and even though it isn't banging the quality of the music is top notch
5) Paolo Mojo, even though that no big sets have come out from him this year, when he came to Australia back in June he played an unbelievable set, included alot of the unreleased Swesdish House Mafia stuff which was just fucking awesome on a really big system
6) Anthony Pappa and Dave Seamen, both came out and i really enjoyed the way they played especially the darker, deeper proggy style that they play.....
7) Desyn Masiello, he was up on top last year with Sasha but this year it seems like most of the stuff in Desyn's bag is pretty good but i would rate it no-where near the stuff that i heard him play last year. Still, saw him play a festival set which was godlike (first time i heard ossie holylands) and then ended up playing at the afterparty which was just a pumping tribal/prog/banging set, so he gets an honurable mention
8) Loving the live sets from Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath but never heard them play live, so i'd rather reserve judgement till them come out!!!
9) The One + One world tour came by Australia and it was definatley a memorable night but i'd rather more of nic rather than james in terms of what they play
10) i enjoyed my dosage of trance from Ferry Corrsten, avb and Rank One but out of those three Ferry was a clear winner (even though that armin had 6 hours) just because of the tunes + energy in the set
Also saw and enjoyed, Steve Angello vs Sev Ingrosso, Chris Lake, Radioslave, Phil K, Robert Babicz, Claude Von Stroke, Eric Morillo (12 hour set ), Carl Cox, Christopher Lawrence, Roger Sanchez, Dj Dan, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander van Doorn, Timo Maas, Nick Warren (okay i give up, surely you get the point )
Many more that i could write down, but maybe we should think twice before handing out #1 to avb till we consider the rest.....

1) Chris Bau and his show MindControl - just amazing stuff, i would really recommend it to everyone, greatest tribal beats, and best environment to grow up - stylish and clean mixing with great great tasty tracks. and guests... very good music from them as well, like Smooke, Versus, Ivo, Victorious, Mavri and others.. great stuff!
2) Adham Zahran mastered the decks pretty good in these few months, let's see what he goes next!!
3) dj Slide with Untitled show, oh, Slide's bassline keeps my windows tilting.. =) very good show, especially when you hear the music on very high volume.
4) hungarian Style Clash is just some really hard beefy sounds, i'm loving the Beat Sensor show, as well as his Devoid Mind project and other stuff, as well as dj mOT, his talented partner not to be forgotten here!
5) Alejandro Rado is coming to top my list of the craziest tribal headz ever!!
6) dj Nadi and her Girls Power show - very stylish and sophisticated beats, definitely needing alot of attention from many boys outta here. =)
7) Vegy is really rocking my car rides with his latest pills collection. awesome music, very moving and intuitively fast fast fast!!!
8) UsualSuspectBro, but more as spr moniker on the website, for making so many many friends amongst tribal and tribe-electric maniacs and bringing here their promos, it's just a hell of a job, just something! better than a show! although tribal eclipse kicks budds.
well, i tell you guys, 8 is good enough to start.... can't name them all, but this is already something. =) so who's next??
