If admin detects a rule breaker upload or an uploader makes a mistake, gets an warning!
3 ''mistakes'', big penalty...

who takes one or two warning's due to a mistake, doesn't take a penalty and after one or two or three months it expires the warning!

Simple rule, we all benefit!

my dear friends IB1 and bucks. i'm really feeling you on this one, but please do not forget, we are talking "reInvent Uploads" here, please try and keep on this topic, discussion of other website's rules shall commence in individually created threads, not that it will bring any results... by the way, you are talking a little bit communism here, do not forget, please, that users' sharing and donations at will are quite the sides of the latter.

LMAN1, try reading what i wrote a few posts back. returning to the topic, i have so far only heard one reasonable suggestion, that was: in case of light mistake (rebroadcast) - 1 month no uploads, mild mistake(double post, fake) - 3 months no uploads, bad mistake (commercial, illegal) - still full revocation of the privilege. that i can see as a good new version and will think about it.

ps. there will be new great thing introduced on may 5th - 3rd anniversary, try to wait just 5 more days... i promise, every one should be glad..

that sounds reasonable to me. Bad mistake i would punish with a direct ban. Not only uploading but also downloading should be a privilege, not a right.

I agree with the last idea of slash. If you make a mistake, you must pay for it. Since you get to have your upload privileges somehow easy, this must balance with big penalties for people that make mistakes. I think you should quantize the mistakes and make penalties for each of them. The mildest penalty should be 1 month of losing upload privileges.

And if someone would talk dirty on this site, he should be banned from uploading&downloading for one month.

no, that's doubtfully the right choice, but it gives me idea of adding something to the one i've liked: if user does a mistake of the same kind twice - second warning will be double the first one, third - 4 times the third one, and 4th mistake of same kind will put you out of uploading.. this way we combine temporary revocation with progressing behavior, at the same time, leaving "light mistake" on 1-2-3 month growth, which isn't that bad...

Now I have to say that this debate has been very entertaining,and I have really enjoyed reading everyones comments.I see a lot of sense from all sides,and it is really nice to see that through common debate can come compromise that will benefit all.Hopefully if these changes are made,we can see an end to criticism from those who have been criticising the rules,and in my opinion some of them have been quite insulting.Although I do not want to become a regular uploader,I will see how things go,if these changes are made,and maybe sometime in the future I may make some of my music available.But you can be sure that I will have read any additions to the FAQs or rules first!

well, if you want EVERYONE know why i demoted you for next 3 weeks to be a power user: because you as uploader DO NOT RESPECT your downloaders. because you do not format filenames as i've asked you several times, and then insisted, and then even more - threated you with demotion, if you do not stop disrespecting everyone, - but you did not think it over, and more to this - you had to make it all public, well, i hope, everyone knows what's up now..

as i have told you (and everyone else) before: tribalmixes.com is NOT a DUMP, it's a community of people, and if you want to be one of the top 50 people in this community - make sure you fulfill the standards, - be at least as good as everyone else, or even better. when i wrote to you about formatting (not even formatting - just editing to make readable) filenames, all you answered was something like "yeah, yeah, best site, and i love site so much, best ever, i love it". isn't that a little air-headed? yeah, well, who cares...

i am not complaining from anything coz i don't care i am ok power user and i want power user coz no incentive to upload and thanks slash about ur posts but i am respect anyone member in the site but i dont respect who dont respect me
