Electric Boogaloo, Smurf or Liquid Dance..? Maybe both? Liquid is the move described as liquid which is waving and breaking the body in this flow, as so. :-)

i've never heard anyone call any danc "smurf"... never... =)

but if looking deep into this clip you posted the link for, it's mostly composed of break-dance, and not pure break, but it's sub-techniques such as Animation, Electric Boogaloo, Bopping (chest movements), Crazy Legs, Floating, Robot of course, Strobing (when goes one moment similar to Erik - kinda liquid one hand follows another, but then it's not smooth but with fast shifts and pauses - makes it look like you're seeing it in the dark with a strobe light, i think anyone seen that in clubs), Tutting (geometric shapes), Waving. so basically this is like a classic gathering of many many styles. but this is not liquid. if you check it again and again, and i seen those Erik's clips many times, you will definitely see alot of difference. Erik mostly dances liquid, some popping, some strobing, but the main thing - HIS FINGERS. have you seen anything like that in your clip? no! =))) those fingers they are like jelly fishes in the ocean... and alot is built up from his palms aka fingers, very very very flexible and very highly professionally controlled. while this Elsewhere dude is really flexible with his whole body, of course he does things Erik never dreamed about, but same can be said in the opposite direction.. anyways, all this is BREAK DANCE... i think we agree on this?

i really don't understand what you mean by this. what is "one of the 4th Break Dance element"?

i can agree that Liquid is a sub-technique of Break Dance. but there are way MORE than 4 elements.. each there are about 20-25 different techniques of Break Dancing, each technique has from 1 to 20-30 elements (or maybe even more). "elements" is basically a name for "moves". explaining on example of sickly-famous aka infamous Michael Jackson: his classic moves (elements of his break dance) are Moon Walk, Circle Slide, Side Slide, Crotch Grab (hehe), those are all elements.. while his technique can be actually made into its own chapter - MJ's dance... anyways, don't mix hot-dogs with sausage, that's what i'm trying to say...

And "synchron":

I think there's something from the "Moon-Walk" in the shuffle-technic!?

Dancing is great, good for your body and soul.

that's a cool style, bro.. i can do that, and did that before, not exactly like they do, they're good of course, and i've always been into other styles.. and the worst part - i danced like that to Paul Van Dyk's music, back in NYC Central Park few years ago...

what i really want to see, and seen numerous times in clubs and at raves, but cannot find any videos, is... street-fighter dance. it's a combination of moves somewhat close to this shuffle dance, only it incorporated alot of hand movements, visualizing someone fighting an 'all-in' street fight, using elbows, knees, all kinds of throws and undercuts, i'm really not sure if the style is called street-fighter, but that is how it seemed to me... brought to perfection, this style really really really catches the eye... anyone knows something like that?

ps. better later than never, i included both shuffle and stree-fighter into the main page poll. we'll see how it goes... =)

I agree, this style is great. I saw this style on party's (most on Hardcore-Rave's) but the name "shuffle", i know since 1 year or so. After watching some tutorials, i have to exercise :mml:

Why not? When You feel good, you can dance every style to every music.  :-)  Yes, we can! ;-)
Ok, there's some exceptions like tango on hardcorerave's :-)
I don't like minimal-sound but:

hehe... almost 9 million views.... here's something new to me:

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYaZYmTwOxA

i really don't see how this clip scored 9mil views, dancing is not that cool, it does have it's own sweet touch, but... this clip is all about HANDS. and few clips right above in this thread with SHUFFLE examples are all about FEET. and i do think that these two styles combined WOULD KILL ANYONE, even would look better than ERIK... and all eyes would be on you, if you went out and danced like that - doing shuffle with feet and this techno-something with hands... but that would be really hard to learn, if you cannot dance either one of them... =)

cool flowing body moves

Dance to feel good for your 'self'  or dance to look good to 'others'.

some popular dancing is so 'showman ship'  that the moves the dancers perform are most probably physically quite harmful in the long run.

A purest dancer dancers for one thing alone.

Does this make my body feel good  :-D .

you're right in a way... i honestly think there's no problem with impressing others. especially if it happens when you're rolling out of your mind (i haven't for 3-4 years), and everyone else is, and everyone is looking at you, and you lead their eyes... truly, in that situation i've never felt like showing off, all i thought about is how cool it is to fascinate everyone around me... times when i was flipping out spinning glowsticks on laces (and i'm quite good with them, not only i spin them nicely, i also jump around) and with the corner of my eye seeing a tight circle around me all crazy rolling but watching me do what i was doing... oh... crazy times... also i wasn't thinking about opposite sex.. to be completely true, only once in my life i've had sex while on ecstasy, and it wasn't really remarkable, but in general, i've never ever had any man-woman thoughts while rolling... and that's when the pure animal dance is happening... but dancing alone is also good.. noone laughs, if you look stupid.. =)
