Hello and welcome....

As far as I understand you need a seedbox that facilitates the use of a proxy server. To be able to use a private tracker this proxy is necessary to login, download and Then share.

this tracker

which is called Tribalmixes BTW or in short TM

needs you to be downloading and uploading using the same IP you are logged in with,

anyways i would be really waiting to leech from you :P

edit:

so basically what you need to do, is log in using the seedbox's IP and download and upload using that IP

and if you want to download from home, do that as well (logging in from home IP, and downloading)

If you know anything about php the following code can be used on your seedbox to log in to your tribal mixes account (at least it works for me!)  ;-)

I live in Brazil and here the upload speeds are very low. So, I rented a seedbox in the U.S. and unfortunately I can not download torrents from this site.

My seedbox does not have a PHP or Proxy server. There is no other way that I can download through the seedbox?

Thank you.

where did you get your seedbox from?

Is it possible for you to ask your seedbox provider to set up a proxy for you, its pretty easy. should not take them time

maybe one day i finally do the passkey.. the only thing that's stopping me is the fact that some people seed hundreds, even thousands of torrents, how will they reprocess all those torrents, re-add them all to their clients? it is very complicated to differentiate between old peers and new peers, and will possibly create problems.

if i did some setting of temporary ip address (i.e. for a user to report their box ip to the tracker as their own, load torrents onto the box, start them and then start browsing again), then it would be very much NOT secure... someone could substitute their ip with some other user's ip and download under their account.. now at least tracker checks ip by the means of php and stuff, gets the real ip that cannot be clouded.. i don't know..

how would a proxy help, anyways?

to be able to download data from other registered peers on the tribalmixes tracker, my IP needs to be registered with the tracker aka the seedbox's. Downloading a .torrent file from home with my home IP then adding it to my seedbox, which will have its own different IP will not work . ( i need to register or log in message will appear)

Having a proxy using the Same IP as my seedbox will enable me to browse the site and add .torrent files to my seedbox without facing problems.

6 months later, any new developments in this?

I just got a seedbox, to get around ISP annoyances (refusal of any TM torrent to get connectable being one of those annoyances) and indeed noticed it didn't work. I'd be in favor of introducing the passkey, though I understand that for others it would be a pain to change everything (I had something in the 600 TM torrents at a certain point, before a pc crash, and considered re-adding all of them but quickly let go of the idea).

Would it be possible to implement the passkey option, but offer it to users as a possibility to choose instead of forcing it for everyone. That way for example seedbox users can choose to use a tracker-URL with a passkey while nothing changes for the majority or TM users.

I assume that should be technicaly possible, and though probbably not many users would need it, having more seedboxes in the community is never a bad thing for upload speeds.

SeedBoxes are the way to go, really surprised there is no support for them.
Really don't understand what the problem is as nearly all private trackers can handle it or they are public so no aggro either...
