qBittorrent and non-connectable peers, page 1

Hey...

Today, I migrated from uTorrent to qBittorrent, because uTorrent doesn't work properly 100% of the time behind my VPN. However, now I'm having between 40-80% non-connectable peers, and I have no idea, what could be the problem. I've run down about every troubleshooting available and nothing has helped yet. When I click on "fix peers" under my account, I get redirected to a site telling me, that I'm not valid anymore for that feature. I've also asked in the official forum of qBittorrent, but maybe it has to do with this site somehow? :hmmm:

I'm becoming more and more clueless. I cannot remember to have changed anything of importance, now I have 100% unconnectable peers. The port is definitely open (doubled-checked that) and it also cannot be a Firewall problem, as I deactivated it, and nothing changed. I rebooted the Router already twice. qBittorrent indicates that the network-status is ok with a green lamp.

it's always good to give it a bit of time before starting to flip out... =)

in my experience, it is the port that gets somehow locked/blocked, even when restarting utorrent sometimes this happens. even with green network indicator. or after a sudden pc reboot or whatnot. whether you reboot router or not, nothing will help. simply because. only time helps. also changing port helps (sometimes).

if i find myself not-connectable at some point, and i know i've always been connectable, i give it a few hours and restart utorrent. years ago i used to freak out and obsess over the damned thing for hours, sweating and shit... these days i just give it a few hours...

the "fix peers" thing is only for show.. it changes status of your peers with the tracker. connectability thou comes from within... tracker does not, i repeat, tracker does not differentiate between good and no-good peers. nothing happens or changes in trackers behavior.
