Just a suggestion, ID Tags, page 1

Well, I know I rarely post but this has been bugging me ever since I discovered this amazing site a few months ago...

I think it would be nice to reach some kind of format on how to label the files and adding the appropiate tags to those files as well. I like to keep my files very well organized and with all the tags in their right place.

So, some of you might be thinking, what's the problem then? Well in order to add the tags and change the file names I have to stop seeding those very same files, and that's not the point of what we do here, right?

What I suggest is a format where people like me (and I know there are others who like to keep their files tight and organized) don't feel the need to add any tags to the files, therefore seeding them for as long as we can possibly imagine.

What I propose for live sets is this
- Live @   .mp3

When listening to recorded sets at radio, specially those weekly shows
-  @  .mp3

and then adding the Artist and Title tags to the files, BEFORE uploading them.

It's just not pretty when you look at some of the file names, it gives the impression of being messy...

I want to know what you think about it and please present suggestions about naming files.

edit: my bad, I just checked the format... lol I still think it's kinda messy, but I've noticed not all files uploaded here follow those very same formats you guys have laid out. I'm talking about a clean format of labeling the files, putting the caps where they belong and everyone following those guidelines...

Anyway, I'm sorry if I sound too annoying, it is not my intention, just trying to help.

we have rules for formatting torrent's title... it seems to be ok for me formatting filenames too, but you CAN edit filenames while you seed... simply make a copy of the downloaded file to another folder, then rename it, as you want. btw, this won't stop you seeding, because you're working on a copy of the original... when you stop seeding a torrent, simply delete it from you download folder... (utorrent, and probably other torrent clients have an option to remove torrent AND data too, so you won't have to search for the original)
