HM... would you give up all your best secrets just to have someone that can do it instead of you? i wouldn't. nothing personal here, but it took me a little bit of time to learn to rip streams, taking much more time to learn how to rip audio from soundcard....

ps. just to get you started.. code word : streamripper. but it is only good for streams. things like FM or sattelite radio will never be in its reach...

well, this i was thinking about today, exactly what you're saying... see, but reading your reaction here i can understand, that you have probably made little research yourself.

anyways, ripping radio from FM frequency, not a stream, is a complicated procedure. BUT REALLY APPRECIATED. here in chicago there are no dance radios as for house music. only 2 stations kiss103.5 and bee96.3 sometimes on saturday nights might broadcast couple of hours from a club, once i've heard a great mix by mixin marc.

anyways, you need something, that would transfer the sounds of radio into your computer. it could just be your awesome-stereo system with line-out to your computer sound card line-in. and that works well. all you do then is get some software, i'm learning to use Replay7, very nice proggy, requires registration. it can schedule and stuff. well, the thing here is to simply record the sound that your computer would produce, hence the radio on the system. and replay saves them in mp3s with lame encoding. but with this connection if you want to record something while away, you must have radio working all the time.

the better way, and maybe cheaper too, get an FM tuner card, those are now so good - equipped with cable line-in, so i personally watch all 125 cable channels that my internet provider comcast offers, and for free, cause this card i've bought to record local radio (not yet knowing that it's only rap and rock), scanned all cable frequencies and i'm watching tv on computer (rarely). well, back to the topic. from this point you just need some software, again replay will be good, but now you don't even need the sound going on through computer speakers constantly, if you manage to connect fm card line-out to sound card line in, software will do all for you, just set up frequencies, you can listen to radio on computer and record, or schedule. and card costs about $25-30... same this way you can record sattelite radio like XM or Sirius..

so technically you just need to put in a new card, there's antenna to it and cards have many input-outputs, maybe 6-7 pf them... you will definitely enjoy having this card in your computer.. and doing that you could share your local radio, that could be awesome.

to get 192kbps you need a good connection, like a line-in from fm card to computer sound card. but it doesn't really matter, cause replay av just records all the sound played on computer. make sure not to click and not to make any extra sounds, cause they'll be recorded, but same recording program also allows you set up the recording bitrate, but it will not agree and lower it, if produced sound isn't good enough for 192kbps, anyways 128kbps produces pretty much decent sound..

ps. doing this, you will give an immortal boost to your immortal rating. remember it.. everyone who rates your torrent a 5, gives you 5 points, equal to posting 50 comments...

If your doing this from the radio from your country Ill make it easy, get yourself an Iriver H10 20gb and set it to record the show and than just use your usb cable and transfer it to your computer and upload to share it.
