FEEDBACK ON SETS

BOBATION HAPPY HOLIDAYS on June 12th, 2006 / post 6030
I really am starting to get annoyed and hate the fact that almost no users give feedback or comments on uploaded sets...even when i see comments posted theyre always from the same users, which constitute less then 5% from the users on the site...the average set gets 2 comments from 2 users which is unbeleivabely low, i for one wanna receive feedback about my ups as im sure that anyone wants to get feedback about his/her upload.... :-/

well, this is how it goes. you keep uploading and 10-15 people out of 6k keep commenting, but noone else does. all other uploader know it. you should know too.

These days I just give a comment to the torrents when I download them, cause it usually takes a long time before I listen to them and after that I'm usually not bothered enough to go and search the torrent and post a comment. Unless when the torrent is verry special then I'll give feedback about it

I'm afraid the small minority of people who post these replies stick to the standard comments!

I only usually comment if I download something, and it's really good/bad.  There are so many comments with the standard 'awesome set' / 'good tunes' / 'thanx' and to be honest, fairly useless for someone thinking about downloading?  It's a standard answer for a set which will probably never be played again.  If something was that good, i'm sure someone would have more to say?

To be honest (and i'm pointing at other sites as opposed to tribalmixes), ALOT of garbage gets posted.  People just upload what they can get their hands on as opposed to real quality - 10/15 mixes an hour of cráp from 2002.  If I see a mix with a fair few comments, I read through them and if it seems as though its worth the download, I will.  If there is a mix with no comments, then chances are it's not that spectacular, and I won't waste the time downloading.

With so much on offer, and such little time to listen, I'm quite choosy!  Yeah, i'll probably miss out on some good stuff, but at the same time I won't spend hours listening to 'average' music.

I'm not having a go at anyone, all you uploaders do great jobs!  I'm just telling it how I feel!

Downloaders:  Please, if you feel something is *really* worth the download, post.  It doesn't take long.  Hell, even recommend other dj's/set's if you feel the need.  If you recommend it, chances are others will download it.

I've taken about half an hour writing this now, because every time i've done it it sounded harsh!  I'm pressing return now, please don't hate me ... :)

We don't and we apraciate your feedback just it would be better if there were more people that do this as I'm sure that for every set there are at  least few people who really like it

i've a simple reason for (usually) not commenting. i download torrents with superseed2, then i get the files through ftp. sometimes there are days between downloading torrents, and getting them to my pc. (usually i donwload sets when i remove them from ss2). those torrents are not on the main page then (sometimes they're on the 3rd or 4th page), so it doesn't matter if i comment or not, probably noone will read it :)

Always the same and standard comments like "thank you" etc. are polite and do not hurt. But for my own those comments with real expression, questions or joy at a special mix are much my favourite no matter how old they are.
Actually I'm not able to listen to all of my downloads. But when I'm listen to one which is absolutely great. I write a comment - as I said before - no matter which date!

Uploaders , i cannot comment on the mixes at the moment because i need a new sound card , so whatever i ve downloaded i'll say a big thankyou here and i will comment when i've got everything working again .  :-)
