Setting up filters for Autodl-irssi and ruTorrent

I came across autodl-irssi. OK, it's not a very catchy name but, believe me, it works like a charm. There is none of this ridiculously complicated REGEX scripting and algebraic formulae just to download a few shows. It works, simply and easily.

Autodl-irssi is more-or-less PRE-SETUP for most of the main private trackers out there at the moment who announce new torrents on IRC. You don't need any knowledge of IRSSI commands or configuration. It is regularly updated and you can add your own favourites if you like.

The author describes it thus:
Features:
* ruTorrent plugin (optional).
* Supports your favorite tracker
* Advanced but easy to use filters. No complicated regex required, not even wildcards for TV shows and movies.
* Some of the filters: release, size, tracker, resolution, source (eg. BluRay), category, format (eg. FLAC), bitrate, and many more.
* Torrent can be saved to a watch directory, or uploaded to uTorrent webui or an FTP server.
* Option to set max downloads per day/week/month
* Torrent data can be saved to dynamic folder names (eg. folders containing current date) Requires uTorrent.
* No broken .torrent files are ever uploaded to your client. Torrent files are verified before uploading them.
* Duplicate releases are not downloaded by default.
* Torrents are downloaded in the background so Irssi isn't blocked.
* SSL downloads can be forced.
* Automatic updates.
* Automatically connects to IRC servers and channels
* Wake on LAN
Setting Up the Filters
So, autodl-irssi is a dream for using on your private at home to grab the TV series, music etc that you like. But we're not here for that, are we? We're on seedboxes to build buffers/ratios. So we're only going to use a fraction of the app's potential here.

If you look at your ruTorrent toolbar, you'll see a nice new Green button with a white arrow.
Click it and have a look around.

Setting Up SCC
It's possible to get auto invited to SCC's announce channel without having to press the invite button.
Press your autodl-irssi button and select IRC Servers
Add IRC server irc.sceneaccess.org, and then add a new channel: Channel: #scc-announce
Invite HTTP URL: https://www.sceneaccess.org/irc
Invite HTTP Header: Cookie: uid=12345; pass=asdfasdfasdfasdfsadf
Invite HTTP Data: announce=yes
Update the cookie above. Go to SCC and type this in the address bar and you should see your cookies:
javascript:document.innerHTML=document.cookie
So, you should end up with a config like this:

Now, the best way to get your ratio up quick is to concentrate on the Freeleech archives. Especially if you have a 100GB share. All I do, very simply, is:
Click on the green button again
Select Filters
I don't touch any other Tab except the first one: General
and enter the following:

Display name .......... SCC Packs (call it whatever you like)
Match releases ........ *SCC*     (All their Freeleech packs have SCC at the end.
Except releases ....... *MP3*     (I don't want their MP3 Packs, they're not popular enough)
Match sites ........... scc       (This is where autodl-irssi does its magic)
Minimium Size ......... 20GB      (Works for me.. play with it)
Maximum Size .......... 150GB     (Works for me, if I'm around to keep an eye on it)

So, it should look like this:

Just click OK and watch it do its magic. Of course if lots of us jump on the same big file OVH --> OVH , we should see some spectacular results.

Other setups to follow. I currently use autodl-irssi on sbt, dh, and a couple of British trackers. Warning: thebox.bz doesn't like download scripts in its announce chan.

How about posting what works for you?
